Mia is determined to get off the drugs she's addicted to by going to a cabin in the woods with her brother and their friends to dry out. But the place has obviously been the site of unorthodox rituals, as attested by the burnt cross beam in the cellar and the many cats hanging from its ceiling. They also find a strange book of spells wrapped in wire. One of the boys makes the mistake of opening it and reading a few ages out loud, letting an evil power escape that that vows to get all of them. Mia is the first victim, but the others think she's just going through withdrawal and refuse to listen to her until it's too late...
