A young wannabe explorer on the adventure of his lifetime.

For as long as he can , Tad Jones has had only one dream: becoming an explorer. But dreams of lost treasures don’t quite get you there, and Tad leads a boring life, working for the city of New York. One day however, everything suddenly changes. A happy accident lands him in the mysterious city of Paititi, Peru, where adventures await him he could have never imagined.

An ambitious production, this Spanish film takes out all the stops. If the animation is good, its style fails to impress. The rather stereotypical characters are mostly one dimensional, especially when it comes to a distractingly lightly dressed woman professor. The story goes from cliché to cliché, heavy with references and, at times, annoying pop music. Tad, the Lost Explorer will no doubt please the kids, but try too hard to do that, and be sure to loose the parents.
